The Challenge

Needle & Tide had developed a strong following on Instagram and were looking to launch their online presence for their amazing coastal apparel line. They wanted a user-friendly store for their hoodies, hats, and accessories, as well as SEO support to start the ball rolling and build up their organic customers.

Their goals were to get a professional, high quality store that was launch ready, as well as improve organic ranking and visibility over time.

Our Approach

Our approach was a holistic one, that included the client as much as possible to make sure they got what they needed. We started with a wireframe and Figma design document that outlined the look, and feel of the store. With the goal being to infuse the coastal, natural colours of the brand as well as a highly user-friendly layout.

Following feedback, we went on to set up the store itself, where we handled collection setup and product setup, as well as setting up custom collection and product pages. The home page design was implemented and all pages were tweaked to ensure the design scheme, colours, and feel matched throughout.

Once the store was set up and met the goal of Needle & Tide, we moved our attention to supporting them with SEO, and e-commerce management. This part of the project is ongoing and the goal is to improve the visibility and organic traffic for the brand.

Results

So far, the results have been fantastic for both us and Needle & Tide. The website was well received by the client, and has been well received by their customers. The launch week alone saw thousands of visitors coming to the site, with a returning customer rate of over 15% in the following week. The store also saw a jump in sales immediately. 

The next steps include improving the organic ranking of the store and product pages over time, so that the site is discovered more regularly and the rate of traffic continues to increase in the coming months.
